Northern Yellow-bellied glider project

New volunteers for the Northern Yellow-bellied Glider project in Tumoulin (Mungurru Wabu) National Park are always welcome. Volunteers meet every Saturday from 9am-1pm to conduct surveys of glider feed trees and to rake and clear around glider den trees to protect them from fire. These few remaining trees are an essential resource for these endangered gliders. The trees are often hollowed out and scarred from previous fires. Please note that, for insurance and liability purposes, volunteers need to be current financial members of Tree-kangaroo & Mammal Group. Once a TKMG member and registered as an official volunteer, you will be sent an email outlining the planned activities for the week with instructions as to where the group will meet.
